The CHP's weekly group meeting was held under the leadership of Özgür Özel. Reiterating that the operations against presidential candidate İmamoğlu are a 'coup' attempt, Özel also touched upon the nationwide petition campaign. Describing the campaign as 'the largest vote of no confidence in world history,' Özel stated that more than 10 million votes have been cast with the slogan 'I want my candidate by my side, my ballot box in front of me,' and called on citizens to vote regardless of their party affiliation.

NAMES WILL REMAIN CONFIDENTIAL

Announcing that they have surpassed 10 million votes in the nationwide petition campaign launched for İmamoğlu's release and for early elections, Özel underlined that the names of those who signed will remain confidential within the framework of high-security measures for the campaign.

NOTARY VERIFICATION WILL BE CONDUCTED

Stating that the signatures will be verified by a notary, Özel used the following expressions regarding the signatures provided: "These signatures will be stored in a high-security environment at the Republican People's Party, where no one can come or enter. The actual figures of the signatures will be determined by a notary and independent organizations and shared with the public."

"I WILL SPEAK IF A HABER HAS SIGNED"

Leaving the hall after the group meeting, Özel did not answer questions from members of the press. Offering only a single sentence to the microphones extended to him, Özel explained his condition for speaking to A Haber with the words, "I will speak if A Haber has signed."
