Support for İmamoğlu from CHP MP İbrahim Arslan!

As debates continue regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the Republican People's Party (CHP), the possibility of former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu returning to the chairmanship via a court ruling has sparked various reactions within the party. An important decision regarding the congress is expected at the hearing to be held on June 30.

EMPHASIS ON UNITY WITHIN THE PARTY

Eskişehir MP İbrahim Arslan stated in a post on his social media account that the party should focus on the demands of the public rather than internal conflicts. Emphasizing that the party must show resistance against internal and external threats, Arslan said, "We will neither surrender this party to the palace nor sacrifice it to ambitions." Arslan expressed that the CHP is not engaged in a struggle for seats, but a struggle for justice and freedom.

Arslan noted that the party will be strengthened not by internal conflicts, but by the common demands of the people. Stating that "this struggle is not the struggle of those seeking personal gain, but of those who walk with their heads held high," he said that personal ambitions should not weaken the party.

RESISTANCE AGAINST POLITICAL PRESSURE

In his statement, Arslan noted that not only the party but many opposition figures are also facing political pressure. He stated that many people, from presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu to journalists, artists, and academics, are being targeted for silencing. He pointed out that media outlets such as Halk TV, Sözcü, and Tele1 are facing threats of broadcast suspension, and that opposition newspapers are under censorship and pressure.

Drawing attention to the situation of millions of citizens facing economic and social hardships, Arslan stated that the CHP is the only real hope against these pressures. He called for unity among party members, asking, "Are we going to turn the CHP into a tool for personal advancement, or are we going to join hands for the power of this people?"

Arslan concluded by emphasizing that the unity and integrity of the party must be preserved, stating, "We are strong when we are together, we are the people when we are together, we are the Republic when we are together."
