CHP officials: 'No one should be surprised if CHP wins in surprise locations'

According to Sarp Sağkal from Cumhuriyet, CHP officials made assessments regarding regions where the party could create surprises in the local elections. The officials stated, “CHP will win elections in very surprising places. You may see us winning in places you would never expect.”

"YOU MAY SEE CHP'S RED IN THE BLACK SEA"

Using President and AKP Chairman Tayyip Erdoğan’s hometown of Rize as an example, the party members spoke as follows:

“We will win in Trabzon’s Ortahisar and Ordu’s Altınordu. At the provincial level, we will also win in Giresun. In this election, you may see CHP’s red in the Black Sea. We are ambitious in Zonguldak, Kastamonu, and Sinop.”

Pointing out that there could be surprises in different regions of Turkey outside of the Black Sea, the officials said, “We will see our red color in some districts in the Southeast and in many provinces of Central Anatolia.” Giving examples of provinces where surprises could occur, the party members said, “Kırıkkale and Uşak are among the provinces we aim to take from the other side. We are also in the race in Isparta. No one should be surprised if CHP wins in Osmaniye as well.”
