CHP's convention lawsuit postponed! Statement from lawyer Çağlayan: 'There is no point in it dragging on'

The hearing for the lawsuit filed with the request for the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention and the removal of the authorized boards from office was held today at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance. The court ruled to postpone the case to September 8, pending the finalization of the decision on lack of jurisdiction issued in the case related to the convention lawsuit.

CHP lawyer Çağlayan made the following statement after the hearing:

"There is no benefit to the trial dragging on. If an election is held and the will is manifested, it does not matter what the court says. It is not possible for the court to say anything regarding who will manage the party. We think that this hearing will also be rejected in September. It no longer has any value on the political agenda."
