CHP's election song released: Lütfü Savaş not included

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel attended an event held in İzmir today for the introduction of the party's candidates in the city.

The CHP leader presented the election song and film, which were scheduled to be released at 8:00 PM tonight, as a 'surprise for İzmir'. As previously reported in Duvar Arkası, the CHP's election slogan is "Our work, our power is Turkey."

Özel later shared the 1-minute and 21-second election song and film on his social media account with the caption, "Our work, our power is Turkey!"

The song, adapted from master artist Barış Manço's work 'Anlıyorsun değil mi' (You understand, don't you), repeats the slogan "Our power is Turkey, our work is municipality." The music video features CHP metropolitan mayors and candidates. While the video includes special introductions for Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mansur Yavaş, as well as Eskişehir candidate Ayşe Ünlüce, Tekirdağ candidate Candar Yüceer, Aydın candidate Özlem Çerçioğlu, and İzmir candidate Cemil Tugay, Özgür Özel is seen walking alongside 14 metropolitan mayoral candidates.

LÜTFÜ SAVAŞ NOT INCLUDED

It was noted that Hatay Metropolitan Mayoral candidate Lütfü Savaş, whose candidacy has sparked controversy, was absent from the promotional video and was not seen with Özel. CHP sources stated that the commercial filming took place on February 5-6-7, and that Lütfü Savaş could not participate in the filming because he could not leave Hatay on those dates, which coincided with the anniversary of the earthquake.
