CHP's November convention program finalized

As part of the 39th Ordinary Convention process, the CHP aims to complete its provincial congresses by October 22. Party officials state that the convention date will be announced next week. Noting that significant changes have occurred among provincial delegates following the completion of district congresses, officials anticipate that these changes will also be reflected in the convention delegates.

FIRST DAY NEW PARTY PROGRAM, SECOND DAY CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, at the convention planned for the end of November, the new party program will be presented to the delegates for approval on the first day. The chairmanship election will be held on the second day, and the Party Assembly elections will be conducted using the open list method on the third day.

CHP officials state that they are awaiting the outcome of the 38th Ordinary Convention lawsuit scheduled for October 24, but note that the case could be postponed and that this situation might affect the convention process. The Chairman states that this lawsuit is process-oriented rather than result-oriented, expressing that there is an attempt to make the party a subject of controversy.

ÖCALAN ISSUE NOT ON CHP'S AGENDA

On the other hand, it is observed that the CHP maintains a distance regarding the debates surrounding the visit of the parliamentary commission established within the scope of the new resolution process to terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan. CHP officials state that this issue has not been brought up in any meeting and that if it is brought to the parliamentary commission, it will be evaluated by the Central Executive Board (MYK).
