Claim stirs up CHP corridors: He said 'I don't know' to the petition he wrote himself!

Developments following the absolute nullity decision within the Republican People's Party (CHP) continue to be debated. A new claim regarding the police intervention at the CHP Headquarters on May 24 has drawn attention in party corridors.

According to the claim, while some Central Executive Board (MYK) members reacted to the police intervention at the CHP Headquarters, it was alleged that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu used the phrase "I don't know about the events" in his assessment of the matter.

POLICE INTERVENTION HAD CAUSED CONTROVERSY

It was stated that Celal Çelik, the lawyer for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu—who is said to have returned to the position of CHP Chairman following the absolute nullity decision—had applied to the Ankara Provincial Police Department in his capacity as a CHP lawyer.

It was reported that the petition included the statement, "We request that the necessary procedures be carried out regarding the handover of the party headquarters to us."

Following the application in question, a police intervention took place at the CHP Headquarters, and after the intervention against party members present in the building, the elected CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and those accompanying him left the headquarters.

INTERVENTION DEBATE IN THE MYK

According to the report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün, some MYK members within the CHP criticized the entry into the party headquarters accompanied by police.

According to the claim in the report, upon MYK members expressing their reactions, it was alleged that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "I don't know about the events," despite assessments that the request for intervention had come from their own side.
