A new development occurred yesterday evening regarding a letter reportedly prepared within the CHP. It was revealed that the text, which was brought to the agenda by some pro-government media outlets with the claim that it was signed by more than 20 deputies, actually bears only 10 signatures.

LETTER LEAKED TO PRO-GOVERNMENT MEDIA

In the text reportedly delivered to TGRT Haber Ankara Representative Fatih Atik, it was alleged that some CHP deputies had prepared an open letter containing criticisms directed at Chairman Özgür Özel. With the leaking of the text to TGRT Haber, the controversy grew rapidly.

Within the framework of operations carried out after the local elections, numerous mayors were arrested. It was stated that some figures, including presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, were placed in solitary confinement cells in prisons. This process led to an increase in public tension.

CONGRESS LAWSUIT AND REJECTION DECISION

Within the scope of the lawsuit filed regarding the congress where Özgür Özel was elected chairman, it was requested that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu return to the party administration. However, the court rejected the request for "absolute nullity" and ruled that the current administration should continue its duty.

A NEW DEBATE WHILE THE IBB INDICTMENT CONTINUES

In the days when the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) indictment was in the preparation stage, a new debate surfaced within the CHP. It was learned that some deputies had penned a letter critical of Özgür Özel. The letter requested that party members be subjected to a judgment process regarding certain allegations that were reportedly difficult to respond to in the field.

Pro-government media claimed that the declaration was signed by more than 20 deputies. However, journalist Şaban Sevinç announced that there were only 10 deputies' signatures on the document in question.
