Cold shower for Kılıçdaroğlu in the latest poll!

The voter survey, conducted with 2,275 people in 60 provinces between May 24-27, 2026, examined the levels of trust and anxiety in society regarding potential presidential candidates. Participants were asked to express their feelings for each candidate between "trust and hope" and "anxiety and concern."

The results showed that Mansur Yavaş was the most preferred name in terms of trust and hope, with a rate of 53 percent. The rate of anxiety toward Yavaş remained at 34 percent.

While 45 percent of voters expressed trust and hope for Ekrem İmamoğlu, 46 percent stated that they felt anxiety.

For Özgür Özel, these rates were determined as 42 percent in terms of trust and hope, and 46 percent in terms of feelings of anxiety. For AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, trust and hope remained at 41 percent, while the feeling of anxiety and concern reached 50 percent.

The most striking finding concerns Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. In the survey, the feeling of trust and hope felt for Kılıçdaroğlu when evaluated as a candidate was only 9 percent. In contrast, 80 percent of citizens reported experiencing anxiety and concern regarding his candidacy. These rates revealed that Kılıçdaroğlu's positive perception among voters remains quite weak compared to other potential candidates.

Prof. Dr. Tamer Bolat evaluated the results with the following statements:

“In the presidential race, not only the vote share but also the emotional impression that candidates leave on society is important. While Mansur Yavaş stands out as the strongest name instilling trust and hope at this point, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu occupies the most negative position in the election option. The fact that the level of trust in Kılıçdaroğlu remains at 9 percent while anxiety reaches 80 percent clearly shows that voters are keeping a serious distance from this possibility.”
