Concerts canceled after boycott! DBL Entertainment owner files criminal complaint against Özel and celebrities

Abdülkadir Özkan, owner of DBL Entertainment, which organizes concerts for world-famous bands and singers visiting Turkey, faced heavy criticism following his post reacting to boycott calls. The company was planning to bring Justin Timberlake to Turkey, in addition to names such as Muse, Robbie Williams, and Ane Brun. However, the Muse and Ane Brun concerts were canceled. In a statement released by the band Muse, it was announced that the concert has been postponed to 2026.

According to the report by Deniz Yusufoğlu from Sabah, Abdülkadir Özkan claimed that he suffered millions of dollars in losses following the concert cancellations.

Applying to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Özkan filed a criminal complaint against 62 people, including Özgür Özel, who is on the CHP's boycott list and made posts calling for the cancellation of the concerts, as well as Berna Laçin, Kalben, Farah Zeynep Abdullah, Dilan Çiçek Deniz, and Fatih Altaylı.

In his petition, he stated that his company was one of those deliberately targeted by Özgür Özel following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu, and that he was subjected to baseless accusations and defamation.
