Control of CHP treasury passes to Kılıçdaroğlu, staff salaries remain unpaid

A ruling of absolute nullity has been issued in the ongoing case regarding the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, where Özgür Özel was elected chairman.

Following the decision, all spending authority at the CHP Headquarters was transferred to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who lost the congress to Özgür Özel.

Kılıçdaroğlu recently dismissed the CHP's incumbent headquarters lawyers. At the same time, it was decided to withdraw the appeal filed with the Court of Cassation by the previous administration regarding Özgür Özel. It was stated that three new lawyers would be appointed to replace Çağlar Çağlayan, Mehmet Can Keysan, and Hazar Kardaş, who were part of the headquarters' legal representation team. Thus, a complete overhaul will take place in the party's legal department.

According to a report in Sözcü, during this period of change, headquarters staff complained that this month's holiday bonuses had not been paid. According to information obtained, it is stated that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is expected to convey the relevant instructions to the banks regarding the payments.

Internal party sources rejected the criticisms, stating, "Those who appear to be CHP members are spreading the slander that 'the party's money is being squandered.' As of May 21, not a single penny of the party's money has been touched."
