‘Cooperation’ vote in İYİ Party: Ankara has made its decision

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's visit to İYİ Party Chair Meral Akşener has accelerated the pace of discussions within the İYİ Party.

According to a report by Eray Görgülü from T24; it was learned that Akşener met with district chairs in Ankara to gather their opinions.

ANKARA HAS MADE ITS DECISION

While debates continue within the İYİ Party over whether or not to cooperate with the CHP, it was learned that an important meeting was held in Ankara on Wednesday.

According to the information obtained, Meral Akşener met with Ankara Provincial Chair Yener Yıldırım and district chairs at the party headquarters on Wednesday, one day before Özgür Özel's visit. Akşener, who asked for the opinions of the district chairs during the meeting, also held a vote. In the meeting attended by 23 out of 25 district chairs, 21 district chairs voted in favor of cooperating with the CHP in Ankara, while two district chairs opposed the cooperation. It was also decided at the meeting to conduct an evaluation for Istanbul as well.

In line with this, it was learned that Istanbul district chairs will also come to Ankara today to meet with Chair Meral Akşener.

At this meeting, Akşener will also ask the Istanbul district chairs for their opinions regarding cooperation. Meanwhile, it was learned that Akşener told the General Administrative Board members regarding Monday's meeting that she would not express an opinion and would leave the decision to the General Administrative Board.
