President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at his party's parliamentary group meeting.
Erdoğan made sharp remarks regarding CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, in addition to addressing the judicial crisis.
Highlights from Erdoğan's statements:
"WE TAUGHT A LESSON ON THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC"
"While we use the opportunities of diplomacy to stop the Israeli brutality on one hand, we continue to strengthen our country on the other.
As the People's Alliance, we showed that we stand with the oppressed people of Gaza with the Great Palestine Rally we organized on October 28.
We celebrated the 100th anniversary of our Republic with great enthusiasm. We taught a substantial lesson to those who sought discord by using the Palestine rally as an excuse.
We will see KAAN take flight before the year 2023 ends.
"WE NEED TO STRENGTHEN OUR UNITY AND SOLIDARITY"
If we are not strong in every field—with our politics, economy, and military power—they will not let us live on these lands. Circles harboring malicious intentions regarding our homeland are exposing themselves. For years, Armenia pursued dreams regarding our country's lands and received its lesson with the Karabakh war. Now, Israeli officials have begun to express similar delusions. Like countless others who have had such dreams for a thousand years, their end will also be frustration. We will continue to thwart the ambitions of those who provoke our neighbors against us, those who unleash the PKK upon us, and those who infiltrate the FETÖ into our midst. For this, we first need to strengthen our unity and solidarity as a nation.
"NETANYAHU, DO YOU HAVE AN ATOMIC BOMB OR NOT?"
Netanyahu, you are on your way out. I say this clearly: Israel is a terrorist state. You call Hamas a terrorist organization. Hamas is a political party that entered elections in Palestine and won. And after they won the election, you took their rights away. Israel and America took them together. There are still those in my country who do not know or understand that Hamas is a political party. Two-thirds of the nearly 12 thousand Gazans massacred by Israel are children and women. The Israeli administration is carrying out the most treacherous attacks in human history against Gazan children, women, and civilians. All concepts, including war, are insufficient to describe what we have witnessed for 40 days. War also has its morality, etiquette, and limits. The first rule of the law of war is not to touch children, women, the elderly, or the sick.
Netanyahu, do you have an atomic bomb or not? If you have the guts, declare it! Oh Israel, you have an atomic bomb! And you are threatening with it! We know these things, and your end is coming. You can have as many nuclear bombs as you want. No matter what you have, you are on your way out! We are facing a genocide.
The will displayed by 121 UN member countries in the General Assembly is officially being usurped by 1 or 2 countries in the Security Council. Israeli ministers are admitting that they possess nuclear weapons. The Atomic Energy Agency is not taking action.
Victory will belong to the people of Gaza and the Palestinian people. What truly saddens us is not the silence of Western countries that have surrendered their will to Israel, but some words spoken from the podium of our Gazi Parliament. They can equate the occupiers with the people defending their homeland.
CHP CRITICISM
Equating the oppressor with the oppressed, as some in our country do, means whitewashing the oppressor. This is what the CHP and some of its partners are doing. Since they cannot openly defend the Israeli administration, they try to clear the criminals by declaring the resistance fighters a terrorist organization. They think they can pass this off to the nation as neutrality. We understand the CHP; their record on this issue is already tainted. We expect no other approach from those who see YPG terrorists as an organization formed to save their homeland, and from those who pose at the funerals of police killers.
We do not hesitate to voice the truth that Hamas members are resistance fighters trying to protect their homeland and lives against occupation policies, just because some might be uncomfortable.
Our negotiations regarding the treatment of cancer patients and wounded children in our country are ongoing. We will take steps to ensure that the political and military leaders who massacre the oppressed in Gaza are tried in international courts. We will work to ensure that each of the terrorists who not only seize the homes of Palestinians but also massacre them is recognized with this title.
There has not been the slightest change in the fascist codes of the CHP. Atatürk's party has sometimes turned into a toy in the hands of sectarian fanatics, marginal organizations, and chameleon types who change their colors for political gain. We witnessed this at the convention. They said change, they said renewal. At their convention, they saluted every enemy of democracy, from Selo to Kavala. It is unclear whether the person sitting in the chair is truly the chairman or a proxy. What the next step of the masters who put him there will be is unknown.
The loyal chairman they are stoning today has apparently opened an office. I hope he hasn't forgotten the kitchen.
LOCAL ELECTION MESSAGE
Are we ready for March 31? Let us hand over our metropolitan cities, especially Istanbul and Ankara, to their true owners. The people of Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir have suffered enough from them. We will rescue our cities, which are decaying under the administration of the CHP's incompetent mayors, from the hands of these ignorant people. There is no peace for them until they account for the damage they have caused to this country and nation. We will be the followers of this.
We have brought our country to a new era in every field. Every member of the 85 million experiences the services we have provided in their daily lives. Our expatriates clearly see the great revolution that has taken place in Turkey in 21 years every time they visit our country. They state that our country is far ahead of Europe in many areas.
"THEY TRIED TO SABOTAGE IT IN PARLIAMENT"
Our Central Bank's total reserves have reached 128.4 billion dollars. We will definitely solve the issue of inflation, which is our biggest headache. We will remain committed to our principle of not letting employees be crushed by inflation, which we have never compromised on until today. We will continue our struggle against the high cost of living, which stems partly from global reasons and partly from greed. Our citizens should keep their hearts at ease. Turkey is in safe hands, managed by competent staff. It has the power and potential to overcome every difficulty. None of the hardships endured on the path we are on today are in vain. Turkey will take its rightful place in the global system.
We are not neglecting justice either. When we took office, we promised to raise Turkey on 4 main columns. For 21 years, we have worked to establish a reliable and accessible justice system. We reformed our judicial system. We strengthened its infrastructure. We placed the independence and impartiality of the judiciary under constitutional guarantee. We saw the greatest resistance from FETÖ-like structures clustered within the judiciary and from the opposition. Those who militarized the judiciary during their rule did not want the judiciary to become impartial. They first tried to sabotage the step taken in Parliament, then they kept watch at the courthouse doors.
"THE CHP HAS NO SAY"
The CHP said no to the constitutional amendment that includes the right to individual application. In fact, as they always do, they applied to the Constitutional Court for the cancellation of the amendments. The CHP has nothing to say today regarding individual application, and it cannot.
If there were a coup or an uprising in this country, its biggest supporter would be the CHP. Since 1960, the main actor in all anti-democratic scenarios attempted against the national will and Parliament has been the CHP. In every attempt targeting our government over 21 years, the CHP has always taken the side of the tutelage seekers. From the Republic rallies to the Gezi uprising and the July 15 betrayal, the silhouette of the CHP is present in all attacks aimed at destroying our democracy.
