PREPARATIONS FOR THE MEETING
According to URA.RU, Ushakov said during a briefing, "A visit to Turkey has been planned for a long time. [Putin and Erdoğan] will address many important issues. All important and particularly sensitive topics will be discussed. We are in constant dialogue with the Turkish side." Ushakov emphasized that Putin and Erdoğan will also discuss future prospects for cooperation.
SUMMIT PLANS
Ushakov recalled that Vladimir Putin recently received Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Previously, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov had stated that the Russian President and his Turkish counterpart plan to meet at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Heads of State summit, which will begin in Astana on July 3.
According to Ushakov, the meeting will take place on July 3 during the informal program of the summit.
