Date set for Ümit Özdağ's court appearance

INDICTMENT HAD BEEN WRITTEN
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against Ümit Özdağ, who remained in custody for 78 days, on charges of 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting them' under Article 216/1 of the Turkish Penal Code.
REQUEST FOR UP TO 7 YEARS, 10 MONTHS, AND 15 DAYS IN PRISON
The indictment states that Ümit Özdağ committed the alleged crime through press and broadcasting channels in a chain manner, and requests that he be sentenced to up to 7 years, 10 months, and 15 days in prison.
