DEM Party delegation continues its contacts... Meeting held with Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç: Response given to Demirtaş question

A significant development has occurred in the "Terror-Free Turkey" process initiated and named by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli. One of the symbolic steps of the process was the so-called arms-laying ceremony held by the terrorist organization PKK in Sulaymaniyah. During the ceremony, a group of 30 PKK terrorists burned their weapons.

Following this development, the Democratic Action and Struggle (DEM) Party began direct talks with political parties to establish social peace. The Imralı Delegation formed by the party includes Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar, and Faik Özgür Erol.

FIRST MEETING WITH JUSTICE MINISTER YILMAZ TUNÇ

The first stop for the DEM Party Imralı Delegation was the Ministry of Justice. The delegation met with Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç this morning to discuss technical topics such as the legal framework of the resolution process and prison visits.

FIRST STATEMENT AFTER THE MEETING

Mithat Sancar said after the meeting, "It was a positive meeting, we thank him. We are making every contribution we can, but the role of the Ministry of Justice at this stage is very special. As the legal process strengthens, reaching the goal becomes that much easier."

Pervin Buldan, when asked about the release of Selahattin Demirtaş, said, "Every subject was discussed; we will not provide details."

SECOND ADDRESS OF THE TALKS: FUTURE PARTY

The traffic of meetings will continue at the Future Party Headquarters at noon. The delegation, which will meet with Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu at 12:00, will bring the political reform and democratization dimensions of the resolution process to the agenda.

MEETING WITH BAHÇELİ AT THE TBMM

One of the most notable contacts of the process will take place at 14:00 at the TBMM. The DEM Party delegation will meet with Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli in his group room at the Parliament.

MEETING WITH CHP ON JULY 17

Another important meeting planned by the DEM Party delegation will be with Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel on Thursday, July 17, at 13:00.
