DEM Party delegation takes action following Justice Minister Tunç's statement
Following Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç's statement that no application has yet been made for the DEM Party Imralı delegation's second meeting with Abdullah Öcalan, delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Önder announced that the request for the meeting would be made as soon as possible, stating, "We will file our application as soon as possible next week."
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç made statements regarding the request for a second meeting between the DEM Party Imralı delegation and PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan. Minister Tunç stated that the delegation had not yet made such an application, adding, "If there is a request for a meeting, it will be evaluated."
STATEMENT FROM ÖNDER
Following this statement, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, one of the delegation members, made a statement regarding the matter and responded to the minister's words. Önder announced that the application for the second meeting to be held in Imralı would be made very soon, stating, "We will file our application as soon as possible next week."
This statement by Sırrı Süreyya Önder caused the planned meeting in Imralı to quickly come to the agenda. The DEM Party is expected to submit its request for a second meeting with Abdullah Öcalan to the Ministry of Justice.
Önder provided assurance that the application would definitely be made, sending a message that the process for the meetings would be accelerated.
