DEM Party reacts to HDK operations: 'Peace will surely come'

The DEM Party has reacted to the operations conducted against the Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) in the morning hours. In a statement released by the party, it was stated, "A total attack is being carried out against society, the will of the people, and the pursuit of resolution, democracy, and peace."

The statement shared from the DEM Party's X account is as follows:

"Turkey woke up today to another operation targeting the HDK. Many people, including our Central Executive Committee (MYK) members Semiha Şahin and Mehmet Saltoğlu, former HDK Co-Spokesperson Esengül Demir, and representatives of constituent parties, have been detained. It is clear that the possibility of resolution and peace has begun to cost some people their sleep.

Every day, operations are carried out against those who want resolution and peace, and every day, trustees are appointed to the will of the people. Every day, attacks on the alliance of peoples and those who grow the common struggle are increasing. A total attack is being carried out against society, the will of the people, and the pursuit of resolution, democracy, and peace. However, fear is of no use against fate; peace will surely come to these lands. No matter what you do, it will be of no avail. This mentality that has declared war on the people, their political will, and social opposition will lose."
