DEM Party's Bakırhan targets Özgür Özel: Are we supposed to answer to you because we are fielding a candidate in Istanbul?
DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan said, "We launched our election campaign from Şemdinli, Yüksekova, and Hakkari. We know very well how valuable this is."
Attending the opening of a DEM Party election liaison office in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, Tuncer Bakırhan stated that they believe they will win the elections in all districts on March 31. Noting that Hakkari is a high-risk region in terms of earthquakes and that precautions must be taken now, Bakırhan expressed that they would carry out work on this issue if they win the election.
"WE WILL STRIVE TO GET THE HIGHEST VOTE"
Bakırhan spoke as follows:
"Other parties launched their election campaigns in the metropolitan cities. We launched our election campaign from Şemdinli, Yüksekova, and Hakkari. We know very well how valuable this is. We embrace the people of Yüksekova. We are trying to be worthy of you as much as we can. We are on the streets day and night. Our cause is great. We will fight to get the highest vote by going door to door without saying day or night."
RESPONSE TO ÖZGÜR ÖZEL
Stating that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has made remarks claiming that "the DEM Party is collaborating with the AK Party to make the opposition lose," Bakırhan pointed out that the CHP is fielding candidates in eastern provinces, including Hakkari, and said, "You will field candidates everywhere, that is your right, but are we supposed to answer to you because we are fielding a candidate in Istanbul, where we are the third-largest party? Get out of here, mind your own business."
