Dervişoğlu to Erdoğan: 'He determines the direction of politics'

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu attended the congress of the Nationalist Congress Association held in Ankara. In his speech, Dervişoğlu criticized the People's Alliance by quoting poets Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Arif Nihat Asya, stating that Turkish nationalists are honorable people. 

Dervişoğlu said, “Turkish nationalists are not people to be treated like hangers-on who come when called and leave when dismissed. This government treats Turkish nationalists this way far too often.”

'ERDOĞAN DETERMINES THE STYLE OF POLITICS'

Stating that the style of politics is determined by the practices of the AKP and Erdoğan, Dervişoğlu said, “Condescending, sultanate-aspiring attitudes have become so widespread that these behaviors are sometimes seen even in the ranks of the opposition. Voters no longer trust politicians; they watch from afar.” Saying that this situation must be changed, Dervişoğlu added, “While everyone claimed to represent nationalism in the last elections, we need to question what Turkish nationalists actually want and what they represent.”

In the continuation of his speech, Dervişoğlu touched upon the importance of correctly identifying the reasons for the fragmentation of nationalists. He said, “I cannot set a trap for any Turkish nationalist, nor can I offend them. Even if we are positioned in different camps today, I cannot view them as enemies or slander them.”

TURKEY NEEDS INSTITUTIONS AND GOALS

Emphasizing that there is a personalized understanding of politics in the country, Dervişoğlu stated, “This country does not need to organize a roadmap to bestow titles upon individuals. This country needs institutions and goals.”

'THERE ARE THOSE WHO RENT OUT THEIR BRAINS'

Dervişoğlu continued his remarks as follows: 

“Organ donation is performed after brain death has occurred. Looking at the actions of those who govern this country today, I am of the opinion that their brain death has occurred intellectually. There are also those who rent out their brains. There are those who, without undergoing a transplant, have two brains and market one to one person and the other to someone else. Do not fall for their games.”
