According to the directive work led by Gül Çiftçi, the Central Executive Board (MYK) member responsible for Election and Legal Affairs, approximately 1 million 600 thousand members will cast their votes at ballot boxes to be set up in district centers instead of a digital environment.
SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT INTRODUCED
According to the directive, a requirement to collect a certain percentage of signatures has been introduced to become a candidate.
This will require support from party assembly members, members of parliament, or High Disciplinary Board members.
The goal is to prevent the chaos that could be caused by a large number of candidates competing.
BEFORE OR AFTER THE HOLIDAY
According to a report by Habertürk, the primary elections will be held in the last week of March, either before or after the Ramadan Feast.
The voting process will begin at 09:00 in the morning and end at 17:00 in the evening. The propaganda period and the objection process after the voting will also be included in the election calendar.
DIRECTIVE READY ON FEBRUARY 10
The Party Assembly will give the directive its final form at the meeting to be held on February 10.
