DEVA Party announces 51 mayoral candidates

The DEVA Party introduced its 51 provincial and district mayoral candidates at its 'Candidate Introduction Meeting'.

Speaking during the candidate announcement, Babacan said: "Let's show the yellow card in the local elections, but let's prepare the red card for the general elections, and let's show the red card in the general elections to end this era together."

Continuing his speech, Babacan said the following:

"My dear fellow travelers who work day and night for Turkey in 81 provinces and hundreds of districts; my dear DEVA friends who strive to give a breath of air to our country, whose future is being darkened by economic crises, legal scandals, and judicial coups, and who sometimes stay away from their families and friends to reach every corner and everyone; the biggest thanks go to you. Today, thanks to you; thanks to the sacrifices you have made from your family, your work, and your livelihood, we are here. Today, as I look into your eyes here, I understand once again that the determination to change the country lies within you. It exists only in DEVA. We announced it at our statute congress on September 30. We said that as the DEVA Party, we had decided to enter the local elections with our own candidates and our own name. We immediately established our commissions. We started our candidate identification efforts. Today, in the first stage, we will introduce our 51 mayoral candidates who say, 'I am here, I am in.' And at the same time, today we will share our party's understanding of local government and urbanism, our policies, and our goals with you. Furthermore, we will also announce our party's Declaration of Ethical Rules regarding municipal administration to the public here today. I say may it be beneficial for our 30 metropolitan cities, for our 51 provinces, for our 922 districts and 389 towns, and for all of Turkey."
