Eid message from Ekrem İmamoğlu! Applauded at Saraçhane

The traditional Eid al-Adha ceremony of the İBB was held in Saraçhane. Acting Mayor of İBB Nuri Aslan also gave a speech at the event, which was experienced with the spirit of unity and solidarity of the holiday. Drawing attention to the dedication shown by the İBB family, Aslan said, "I am a witness to your devoted work that continues to increase despite all pressures, and to how you embrace each other like a family."

İMAMOĞLU'S EID MESSAGE MET WITH APPLAUSE

The most notable moment of the ceremony was when the message sent from Silivri by the imprisoned İBB Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu was shared by Acting Mayor of İBB Nuri Aslan. Aslan said, "June 3rd was our Mayor's birthday. I had the opportunity to speak with him. He is just as excited, young, dynamic, hopeful, happy, and highly motivated as he is here. He is in good health. He sends his best regards to all of you, and he thanks each and every one of you individually. He wishes you a happy Eid."

While these words from Aslan caused emotional moments in Saraçhane Square, the İBB employees attending the holiday celebration responded to Ekrem İmamoğlu with applause.

"OUR MAYOR ESTABLISHED SUCH A SYSTEM THAT..."

Stating, "Our Mayor Ekrem may not be here, but his heart is here with you," Aslan used the following expressions: "Our Mayor established such a system that it functions like a machine... And you are the gears of that structure. If you stop, the system stops, but I know that you have no intention of stopping. You set out to ensure Istanbul gets its due, to realize the dreams of the youth, and to give mothers a breath of fresh air. There is no getting tired on this path. Together, we will continue to work with hope and faith."

"WE WILL LET NEITHER YOUR JOY NOR YOUR HOPE BE STOLEN"

The following words, which boosted the morale of the İBB workers at the ceremony, also received applause:

"Every morning, we will take one step further than the day before. If we get tired, we will have a tea and talk. But we will let neither our joy nor our hope be stolen. They say, 'There is mercy in unity, and torment in separation.' We will be together, we will be sharing, and under the leadership of our Mayor Ekrem, we will overcome these difficult processes together."
