With only days left until the critical elections, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made important statements to Uğur Dündar on Sözcü TV.

Explaining the latest situation in Istanbul and stating that they would secure a majority in the IMM Assembly, İmamoğlu said, "We are not experiencing any problems in 14 of our districts. We are very ambitious in an additional 14 districts. If I talk about anything more, the evil eye... I believe in the evil eye a little bit. I want to stay silent here so I don't jinx it. Even if you force me, I won't give the name of a single district... Because all our district candidates are working ambitiously," he said.

İmamoğlu continued his words as follows;

"My heart feels that all 39 of the 39 districts will give us a medal. They will give it in Sultanbeyli and in Pendik, too. I don't know how they will give it. This doesn't mean that I am claiming we will win all 39 out of 39. They will reward us in some way. Because I worked myself to the bone to equalize the child in Bağcılar with the one in Beşiktaş. Or I worked myself to the bone so that a mother in Arnavutköy could be equalized with one in another of our districts.

While I'm at it; we promised an egalitarian, moral period that shows equal service in all 39 districts and does not discriminate against any municipality because of its party. In that respect, I'm sorry, but this strong alliance we have built must continue without breaking. 'I ran as an independent candidate.' I'm sorry, brother, I don't accept it.
