Ekrem İmamoğlu says, 'Lack of trust hinders prosperity'

CHP presidential candidate and incarcerated Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated in a post from his presidential candidacy office account that the lack of trust in Turkey hinders prosperity, abundance, and peace. Reiterating his promise of change, İmamoğlu said, "We will change this order."

İmamoğlu's statement included striking statistics regarding the lack of trust in various institutions in Turkey.

İmamoğlu stated that trust in the judiciary is low at 80%, trust in education is at 70%, and trust in TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute) is at 75%. He also emphasized that trust in the economy, the state, and the ruling party is weak.

İmamoğlu stated that even the ruling partners do not trust each other, adding that this situation must change.

İmamoğlu's message clearly sets forth his criticisms of the current political and economic situation in Turkey and his demands for change.
