Ekrem İmamoğlu's Beylikdüzü trial adjourned to July 11

The trial of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently held at Silivri Prison, on charges of 'rigging a tender' during his time as Mayor of Beylikdüzü, has been adjourned.

In the case heard at the Büyükçekmece 10th Criminal Court of First Instance, prosecutors are seeking a prison sentence of three to seven years for İmamoğlu, as well as a political ban.

During the hearing on January 8, the prosecutor was given the floor to present their final opinion, but requested additional time, and the court panel adjourned the hearing to today.

This hearing has now been adjourned to July 11.
