Elon Musk conducts poll for new political party

Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and SpaceX, opened the idea of establishing a new political party in the US to debate with a poll he conducted on the X platform. Musk stated that "July 4th Independence Day" was an appropriate time to ask whether people want independence from the two-party system.

Approximately 240 thousand people participated in the poll where Musk asked the question, "Should we form the American Party?" While 62 percent of the participants said "yes," 38 percent responded with "no."

Elon Musk had previously voiced the idea of forming a new political party for the first time in June, following a disagreement with President Donald Trump over tax cut regulations. Referring to the poll results, Musk stated that there is a need for a new political party in the US that would represent the 80 percent in the middle, and that this idea has received broad support.

On the other hand, Trump had expressed his disappointment regarding Musk's criticisms of the tax cut bill that was passed in Congress after he left the White House.
