Erbakan calls on AKP: 'Revoke their citizenship! They must be tried'

Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan, in a statement made via social media, drew attention to the events in Gaza and issued a call to the government regarding Turkish citizens serving in the Israeli army. Erbakan said, "Since October 7, 2023, a systematic effort of annihilation has been ongoing in Gaza. This is not a conflict; it is a genocide led by Zionist Israel."

Erbakan stated that children and babies are losing their lives every day in these attacks, which are being carried out with the support of the US. Drawing attention to the number of children who have died of starvation in Gaza in the last 24 hours, Erbakan used the expression, "40-day-old baby Yusuf Muhammed lost his life because formula could not be found."

Erbakan claimed that there are approximately 5 thousand people from Turkey who have joined the Israeli army, and emphasized that it is unacceptable for these individuals to live in Turkey without facing legal action upon their return. Stating that this situation is a national security issue, Erbakan said, "The citizenship of these individuals must be revoked immediately, and they must be tried on charges of participating in genocide."

Erbakan stated that the Republic of Turkey must heed the voices of the oppressed in Gaza, saying, "We want a Turkey that holds them accountable, not one that grants citizenship to Zionist murderers." Finally, he expressed that what is happening in Gaza is contrary to human dignity and that Turkey should not remain silent against this oppression.
