Erbakan reacts to government on pension hike: 'They are making them pay the bitter bill'

Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan stated that the hike given to retirees remains insufficient.

In a written statement, Erbakan noted that it cannot be expected for a retiree who could not make ends meet with 10 thousand liras to survive on 12 thousand 500 liras.

Arguing that the tax increases and price hikes have made the lives of retirees even more difficult, Fatih Erbakan assessed, "This announced figure remains far from our call and expectation for the lowest pension to be indexed to the minimum wage."

"THEY ARE MAKING RETIREES PAY THE BITTER BILL"

Stating that retirees have worked for years for the country's development and have paid sufficient premiums, Erbakan noted the following:

"It is absolutely unacceptable to make our retirees pay the bill for the government's long-standing economic failure. Despite all our warnings, you are making our retirees pay the bitter bill today for the interest you pay to globalists through a debt-interest-hike-tax economy, the waste in the public sector you cannot stop, the billion-lira guarantees you pay to holdings, and the taxes you have forgiven."
