Erdoğan approves: Family Institute established
Established by presidential decree, the Family Institute will conduct comprehensive research aimed at protecting the family structure and increasing social welfare. Based in Ankara, the institute will work in cooperation with various ministries and institutions.
The Family Institute, established under the Ministry of Family and Social Services by presidential decree, has been officially launched with the decree published in the Official Gazette. According to the decision bearing the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the institute will be headquartered in Ankara.
The institute will conduct studies aimed at protecting and strengthening the family structure, increasing social welfare, and providing data for relevant policies. Supporting activities related to women, children, the disabled, the elderly, relatives of martyrs, and veterans is also among the institute's duties.
WHY WAS THE INSTITUTE ESTABLISHED?
The institute will consist of three main structures: the General Directorate, the Board of Directors, and the Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will consist of a total of 15 members, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services. Members will include ministry representatives as well as one member each from the Ministries of Justice, Interior, National Education, Health, and the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Additionally, experts with work related to the ministry's field of activity will also serve on the board.
