Erdoğan attends candidate introduction meeting in Şanlıurfa: A notable YRP detail!

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the AKP Şanlıurfa District Mayoral Candidate Introduction Meeting.

The New Welfare Party had nominated former Şanlıurfa MP Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar,who resigned from the AKP, for the Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality mayoralty.

The crowd at the rally organized by Gülpınar was interpreted as a sign that the elections in Şanlıurfa would be a contest between the AKP and the YRP.

The AKP, meanwhile, had nominated the incumbent mayor, Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül.

RALLY DETAIL

In a post shared on the social media account of the New Welfare Party (YRP),"Şanlıurfa Again, God Willing!" the footage of Gülpınar's rally was shared with this note, and the crowd at the rally drew attention.

Following the YRP rally, Erdoğan's visit to Şanlıurfa and the Şanlıurfa District Mayoral Candidate Introduction Meeting were scheduled.

Erdoğan also greeted citizens from a bus before his statement.

It was noted that the footage released focused on the crowd.

Highlights from Erdoğan's remarks are as follows:

"Are we ready for March 31? Are we ready to go door-to-door? I believe that in this remaining time, Şanlıurfa will make a glorious transition. Are we ready to disrupt all the games? Are we ready to overturn all the calculations? I am saying this very clearly and plainly: have we not continued all these services for Şanlıurfa, with its infrastructure, superstructure, and university, without any interruption? When there was no Şanlıurfa Airport, is there one now? From now on, we say that, God willing, as the central government, we will join hands with our local government, and we will walk this path hand-in-hand with Ankara. Let us not fall for games. We have come this far by disrupting games. For 21 years, we have always provided these services here, we are providing them, and we will continue to provide them from now on. Whenever we come to Şanlıurfa, we have always seen this enthusiasm. You have disrupted games. Are we continuing to disrupt these games on March 31?"  

"ANYONE CAN BE A POLITICIAN, BUT NOT EVERYONE CAN BE A STATESMAN"

Yesterday in Kahramanmaraş, we commemorated our earthquake martyrs with Fatihas on the first anniversary of the February 6 earthquakes. While summarizing the work done in one year, we held the key delivery ceremonies for the housing units. Today, we will attend the lottery and key delivery ceremony for 1,314 housing units completed in Harran, Şanlıurfa. By the end of the year, we will have largely addressed urgent needs by completing the delivery of 200,000 housing units in the earthquake zone. 

We have personally followed up on the investments that will ensure Şanlıurfa receives its deserved share of the works and services we have brought to our country. You are witnesses to this. We have never been among those who exploit the will of the people of Şanlıurfa to pursue their own agendas. We are all human. Of course, we may have our faults, but no one can deny our sincerity or what we have brought to our city. Anyone can be a politician, but not everyone can be a statesman. We determined our Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate and our district candidates in this manner.

"THE CHOICES OF THOSE WHO HAVE CHANGED THEIR PATH CONCERN ONLY THEMSELVES"

The task that falls to all of us now is to join hands with the President, the ministers, and the organization to first ensure the election of our candidates, and then to ensure that the best services are brought to our city. The choices of those who walked with us in the past and have now changed their path concern only themselves. I wish we could always achieve the ideal. If that is not possible, what falls to us is to evaluate what is possible. We will all focus on our work together. We will continue our struggle with those who understand us. Our goal is to sweep the ballot boxes on March 31 and prepare Şanlıurfa, with its metropolitan and district municipalities, for the Century of Turkey. 

TARGETED GEZI

Whenever Turkey increases its pace of development and growth by evaluating the opportunities before it, dirty scenarios are immediately put into play. We have witnessed this many times over the past 21 years. We had realized a major breakthrough in our 2023 goals. Attempts were made to block this path with a series of obstacles that began with the 2013 Gezi Park protests and continue to this day. The FETÖ coup attempts were part of this. The mobilization of terrorist organizations was part of this game. The 'terroristan' attempted to be established along our borders was part of this game. The covert and overt operations carried out to collapse our economy were part of this game. 

When it comes to talk, CHP executives boast about being the founding party of the Republic. They exploit the founder of our Republic whenever it suits them. They tell forty lies on one foot to hide their dirty alliances, but they never refrain from buttering the bread of whoever is an enemy of the country. This party supported the Gezi events, which were a social chaos directed at our country. It became a partner in the coup attempt by carrying FETÖ's montage tapes to the parliamentary podium for months. This party disregarded our Republic by embracing the members of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, who were at our borders, as patriots. This party acted as a prop for all imperialist traps directly targeting our country for the sake of small political calculations.

"HE SAW A RED CARD AT THE BALLOT BOX 13 TIMES"

For quite some time, the mentality dominating the CHP has had no connection to Turkey's interests. I exclude our people who vote for this party, whose love for their country we never doubt. In fact, they are also victims of the current CHP administration. These citizens are the biggest victims. The CHP has turned into a party that has lost its political compass and is constantly drifting from orbit to orbit. This situation of the CHP, which has become an apparatus that anyone with designs on Turkey can use, was revealed once again with the recent terrorist attack in Istanbul. The greatest political patrons of these terrorists and those who order them are the CHP executives, starting with their Chairman. Mr. Özgür personally sent greetings to the ringleader of this organization from the congress podium. Some CHP executives have submitted parliamentary questions to protect the terrorist who carried out the act. This party has been in camaraderie with the political extensions of the PKK for a long time. They think they can come to power. However, terrorist organizations and their internal and external extensions are also using the CHP as a battering ram. The CHP, which has lost its course in politics, has become a toy for all centers that have designs on Turkey. Their former Chairman thought he would get results by acting this way for years, but he saw a red card from the nation at the ballot box 13 times. 

Stating that he is now playing at being a politician within four walls, Erdoğan spoke as follows:

"The current Chairman is on the same path. It is clear that this path is not beneficial for him or for our country. Currently, the CHP is experiencing a civil war. No one knows when this civil war, where the old and the new are swinging swords at each other, will end. The People's Alliance is making very important contributions to our country's political accumulation in this regard. With the results we will achieve in all our cities, especially in Şanlıurfa, in the March 31 elections, we will continue to provide our nation with the works and services it deserves. Are we ready to raise the flag of the People's Alliance in Şanlıurfa without any losses by working with this sense of responsibility, which is our expectation from our candidates and our organization?" 

REITERATED CENTRAL GOVERNMENT PROMISES
