Erdoğan criticizes CHP, defends operations!
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized the CHP over corruption allegations during an opening ceremony in Sultanbeyli. Erdoğan accused CHP leader Özgür Özel of turning a blind eye to municipal corruption.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed corruption allegations against CHP-run municipalities during his speech at a mass opening and groundbreaking ceremony held in Sultanbeyli, Istanbul. Targeting CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Erdoğan stated, "They have personally turned a blind eye to a system of robbery. When these things come to light, the person at the head of the CHP defends the municipal robbers by calling it a 'political operation'."
In his speech, Erdoğan criticized the CHP by asking, "There are billions being spent, but there is no work, no service, no achievement. Should our judiciary not hold them accountable for this now?" Furthermore, stating that the judiciary and law enforcement are fulfilling their constitutional duties, he said, "What were they supposed to do? Were they supposed to pave the way for corruption?"
The President emphasized that they would follow up on the corruption operations, adding, "Whoever's rights they have violated, and whoever they have handed public resources over to, they are answering for it in court one by one, and they will continue to do so."
