Erdoğan made the announcement, 'boos' were heard in the rally area

At the end of the rally in Şanlıurfa, Erdoğan announced AKP Şanlıurfa Provincial Chairman Ali İhsan Delioğlu. 

Delioğlu, who came to the stage upon the announcement of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, was booed by the voters. Upon the sound of the booing, the volume of the music was turned up.

Delioğlu had previously drawn backlash for remarks such as "Seasonal agricultural workers are on vacation" and "The only goal of other party candidates is to help the DEM Party win."

'YOU DID WHAT YOU HAD TO DO' POST FROM DELİOĞLU

Following the rally, Delioğlu, who was booed by the voters, made a post on his X account.

Delioğlu captioned his post, "Thank you Şanlıurfa! You did what you had to do..."

In his speech, Erdoğan again made references to the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) without naming them, saying, "We cannot allow anyone to walk in our shadow to make the People's Alliance lose the election. Those who try to trip us up while walking in our shadow know no bounds in exploitation either."
