Erdoğan officially announces: Reform is coming for municipalities!
President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan announced in his parliamentary opening speech that reforms will be implemented for municipalities.
President Erdoğan stated that as the AKP and the People's Alliance, they will focus on parliamentary work with the goal of making the 4th legislative year a more productive period. Erdoğan expressed that priority will be given to legislative duties and that the majority of the time in parliament will be devoted to legislative activities.
SIGNAL OF CHANGE
Emphasizing that the AKP is a party of reforms, Erdoğan highlighted the major transformations and reforms carried out over the last 23 years. The President announced that critical reforms in many areas, from the economy to local governments, and from rights and freedoms to justice, will be implemented in this legislative year.
Drawing attention to the negative consequences of the lack of balance and oversight in local governments, Erdoğan noted that the corruption operations carried out have brought this situation to light. Erdoğan claimed that the financial resources hoarded by municipalities are not being converted into services and that the public's expectations are not being met.
