Erdoğan speaks from group meeting: 'We continue to grow our party with new members'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is making statements at his party's group meeting.

Starting his speech by targeting the CHP, Erdoğan said, "While chaos and turmoil prevail in the opposition camp, we are working for the unity and solidarity of 86 million in harmony, as the (People's) Alliance. We are not wasting our time with virtual and absurd tensions. Despite the provocations, we do not allow the opposition to drag us into the mud-wrestling match they are wallowing in."

''My dear nation, my esteemed fellow deputies, distinguished members of our press, very valuable guests, I greet you with respect and affection. I pray to my Lord that our meeting will lead to good outcomes. I say welcome to our dear young brothers and sisters.

I am proud of the AK Party family, which does not abandon courtesy and loyalty in these days when quarrels and character assassinations are poisoning Turkish politics. We continue to grow our party with new members. I say welcome to our dear young brothers and sisters.

"WE CONTINUE TO GROW OUR PARTY WITH NEW MEMBERS"

Noting that he is proud of his party and drawing attention to the new members, Erdoğan said the following:

"I am proud of the AK Party family, which elevates brotherhood, increases humility, and does not abandon courtesy and loyalty in these days when quarrels, below-the-belt blows, and mutual character assassinations are poisoning Turkish politics. We are continuing to grow our party and our family with new members, God willing. We will continue to do so. They have carried their personal quarrels into the Grand National Assembly. Are you looking for those who occupy the hall, or those who are trying to lynch people they declared heroes of the people and composed songs for yesterday by calling them 'enemies of the people' today? It's like a peddler's shop, everything is there. What cannot be explained becomes a joke. This is the scene before us."

Continuing his address to the opposition, Erdoğan said, "On the point of solving the country's problems, the opposition should act as constructively as the government and make positive contributions to the legislative processes."

We do not have the luxury of wasting even a single minute until our next ballot box test.
