Erdoğan targets opposition in Adana: 'They wouldn't even let Şero in the door'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at his party's rally in Adana.

Stating that there were 75 thousand citizens at the rally square, Erdoğan said, "We are from Adana, we are God's people." Erdoğan also told citizens who celebrated his birthday, "I have aged another year."

Highlights from Erdoğan's remarks are as follows:

HE CRITICIZED CHP THROUGH THE DEM PARTY

"I believe you will show those who want to force the nation, especially their own voters, into a trap of obligation to go to the ballot box and vote, what is what. Does Adana bow down to such theatrics? Does Adana give way to those who take their will for granted? They cannot lift their heads from the power struggles within their party. They are in a state where they cannot deal with any other issue because they cannot find the opportunity to stop bickering with each other.

"They tried to pass off a market tent as a hospital to my brothers and sisters in Adana. They are this much of a liar. Is it possible for those who have no benefit to themselves to be of any benefit to the country? We say Century of Turkey, we say we are ready, we say we are determined, while they are digging each other's graves behind closed doors and getting 'DEM-ed' with dirty alliances. They are chasing after winning elections with dubious bargains.

"THEY WOULDN'T EVEN LET ŞERO IN THE DOOR"

There was a person they put before the nation as a presidential candidate in May, with 6 vice-presidential candidates trailing behind him. When they didn't find what they hoped for in the election, they blamed the presidential candidate for everything and cleared their own names. They scraped and threw their chairman, whom they couldn't praise enough, out of the party so thoroughly that they almost wouldn't even let his cat, Şero, in the door."

The rally also featured a review of the projects Erdoğan implemented during his time as Mayor of Istanbul.
