The AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) met yesterday under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Erdoğan's remarks on Syria during the meeting drew attention.

Referring to the anniversary of the jihadist HTS administration's capture of Damascus in Syria, Erdoğan stated, "We made a promise to our Syrian brothers during the darkest days of the massacres, and with God's permission, we will definitely keep that promise in the near future." With these words, Erdoğan recalled the commitment they had made to Syrians in the past and also brought up the visit they plan to make to Syria.
