Eventful development at Boğaziçi University! Arrest request for 15 people

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Boğaziçi University Islamic Research Club invited Nurettin Yıldız to an event. The conference by Yıldız, who has come to the agenda due to his remarks legitimizing child marriage, led to tension. A protest march against Yıldız was organized before the conference.
Nurettin Yıldız was attacked with eggs while speaking at the podium. In the ensuing scuffle, the protesters were removed from the hall. A large number of students also protested the event on campus.
Incidents broke out between students and the police. 13 police officers were slightly injured in the scuffle. 97 students were detained.
STATEMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY REGARDING THE INCIDENTS
Boğaziçi University made a statement regarding the incidents. It was announced that disciplinary proceedings would be initiated against those who participated in the protest and that a criminal complaint would be filed.
