Fatih Altaylı's take on Murat Kurum: 'Erdoğan will close that gap'
Journalist Fatih Altaylı commented on the candidacy of former Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum as the AKP's candidate for Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Journalist Fatih Altaylı shared his views on the AKP's Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum. In his column, Altaylı stated, “To win Istanbul once again, the AKP is returning to the subject it knows best, and perhaps the only one it knows: construction and concrete.”
"HE WILL RUN THE ISTANBUL CAMPAIGN"
“They will try to make mouths water over urban transformation, construction, and rent, and they will want to turn that drool into votes,” said Altaylı, continuing as follows:
“I suspect the AKP will sell dreams for the Istanbul election. İmamoğlu, on the other hand, will explain that the dream they are trying to sell is old and false. Kurum does not seem very enthusiastic as a dream seller. I suspect Erdoğan will close that gap; he will run the Istanbul campaign. In my opinion, the Murat Kurum Project will receive the most votes from lawyers. After all, urban transformation benefits contractors first, and then them.”
