New Welfare Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan, who closed the doors to an alliance with the AKP in the local elections, attended an iftar program organized by his party in Istanbul.

Speaking at the event, Erbakan explained his party's election goals.

"WE WILL RECEIVE OVER 20 PERCENT OF THE VOTE"

Stating that polling firms are in agreement that his party's vote share will increase, Erbakan used the expression, "Since the polling firms that showed us among the 'others' and didn't even give us 1 percent in the last election are now showing us at 7-8 percent, we will receive over 20 percent of the vote."

"WE WILL LEAVE MHP AND İYİ PARTY BEHIND"

Drawing attention to the increase in his party's membership numbers, Erbakan said, "Today or tomorrow, we will surpass the MHP, which has 480 thousand members, and the İYİ Party, which has 500 thousand members. We will enter the elections as the party with the 3rd largest number of members in Turkey. After the elections, we will reach our goal of 1 million."
