Early election call from Fatih Erbakan! He drew attention to Turkey's economic problems

New Welfare Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan spoke at an iftar program organized by the party's Ankara Provincial Presidency.

Calling for an 'early election', Erbakan said, “We are calling on the government. Bring the ballot box before the nation as soon as possible. When this ballot box is brought before the nation, our nation will act with foresight and bring our party, the New Welfare Party, the sole representative of the National View, to power. The New Welfare Party will, God willing, save Turkey and our nation from the vortex of debt, interest, price hikes, and taxes. We will not let the money of this nation, the right of the orphan whose teeth have not yet grown, be eaten by rentiers and the privileged.”

"THE ECONOMY IN TURKEY IS NOT GOING WELL"

Stating that his party would save Turkey from its troubles, Erbakan used the following expressions:

“Turkey's real agenda is poverty. In this holy month of Ramadan, there are millions who struggle to prepare their iftar and sahur tables, there are minimum wage earners and retirees. Today, the poverty line in Turkey has exceeded 72 thousand liras. The hunger threshold has exceeded 22 thousand liras. In such an environment, for the minimum wage to be 22 thousand liras and the retirement pension to be 14 thousand 469 liras means that, given this cost of living, 45 percent of the public in Turkey is hungry and 80 percent is poor. You have all closely seen and heard the fatwa from the Diyanet (Directorate of Religious Affairs) that fitra (charity) can now be given to minimum wage earners and retirees as well. This statement holds an important place in showing the point that poverty and hunger have reached in Turkey. Furthermore, we are facing 6.5 million people with credit and individual credit card debt. The economy in Turkey is not going well. We see how the value of the Turkish Lira is eroding, the extent of inflation, and the point the economy has reached.”
