Financial audit of political parties by the Constitutional Court: Includes Democrat Party and Victory Party

The decisions of the Constitutional Court (AYM) regarding the financial audits of the Democrat Party, Victory Party (Zafer Partisi), Justice Party (Adalet Partisi), State Party (Devlet Partisi), Kurdistan Socialist Party, Greens and Left Future Party, and İlk Parti have been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the decisions, the financial audits were conducted for the 2020 fiscal year for the State Party and İlk Parti, and for the 2021 fiscal year for the Democrat Party, Victory Party, Justice Party, Kurdistan Socialist Party, and the Greens and Left Future Party.

The High Court decided to file a criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for legal action to be taken against the party officials of İlk Parti, due to the failure to submit the income-expenditure documents that form the basis of the party's general headquarters final account, as well as the ledgers in which these documents were recorded.

The Constitutional Court ruled that the final accounts of the other political parties audited for the specified years were accurate, balanced, and in compliance with the Law on Political Parties No. 2820, based on the information and documents available.
