First comment from Özel on the DEM-Bahçeli meeting! 'Everyone should be included in the process'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel answered journalists' questions regarding the Imralı process. Özel stated that he wants the new process to be conducted with transparency. 

Responding to journalists' questions about the meeting between the DEM Party delegation and Bahçeli, Özel stated that they would be involved in the process if it is conducted with transparency.

He also added that they are the guarantors of the families of martyrs. 

"EVERYONE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE PROCESS"

Emphasizing that no political actor should be excluded, Özel said, "We have been saying this for years. We say it must be transparent. We have experienced the bitter consequences of interest-based relationships. When a meeting request was made to us regarding this process, I asked who would be consulted. 

We would not find a process conducted solely through the MHP to be correct. Let no one think that the CHP, as an opposition actor, would ignore other parties. It is understood that a process consistent with this is being carried out today.

"WE WILL EVALUATE APPOINTMENT REQUESTS"

We will evaluate appointment requests after Monday. Social consensus is very important. Whatever I do... Whatever I say... At every stage, I will look into the eyes of the families of martyrs and veterans," he said.
