First rally from CHP leader Özgür Özel following the absolute nullity ruling

İzmir will witness busy hours today for the Republican People's Party (CHP). CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had decided to take to the streets following the Ankara Regional Court of Justice's ruling of "absolute nullity" regarding CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention and the evacuation of the party headquarters. In this context, İzmir was chosen as the first destination.

TIGHT SECURITY AT CUMHURİYET SQUARE

For the event that will begin today at 12:00 PM at İzmir Cumhuriyet Square, police teams have increased security measures by closing three sides of the square with barriers. Although the rally area has not been officially declared, authorities stated that only wreath-laying and press statements would be permitted. Following the wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument in the square, a moment of silence will be observed and the National Anthem will be sung. Afterward, Özgür Özel will deliver a speech to the public gathered in the square.

PROGRAM TO CONTINUE IN MANİSA

It was stated that after the event, CHP leader Özgür Özel will travel to his hometown of Manisa and meet with his fellow citizens in front of the CHP Manisa Provincial Headquarters at 5:00 PM. It was also learned that Özel will spend the Ramadan Feast in Manisa.

Özel's meeting today, who gave the message "From now on, we will be in the squares and on the streets" following the court ruling in Ankara, is being closely followed by the party base and the public.
