First response from CHP to Kılıçdaroğlu's remarks
Following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's statements regarding the moral values of the CHP, a notable counter-statement has come from the party leadership. CHP Deputy Chairman Gül Çiftci stated that the allegations concerning the party's morality are baseless, emphasizing that no one has engaged in behavior that would damage anyone's honor.
In the Republican People's Party (CHP), the remarks made by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the chairman's seat by court order, regarding the party's moral codes have been met with reaction from within the party. CHP Deputy Chairman Gül Çiftci responded shortly after to Kılıçdaroğlu's statement that "we need to fix moral values."
In her assessment, Çiftci stated, "No one is, has been, or will be involved in any action that would harm their party, their own morality, or their own honor." With these words, it was underscored that the allegations leveled against both the party and its members are not accepted.
In her statement to Halk TV, Çiftci noted that it is not moral criticisms but rather unjust slanders that are being directed at the Republican People's Party, saying, "Moral slanders are being spread against the elected officials, individuals, members, or voters of the Republican People's Party." At the same time, she reiterated that no one has made any attempt that would harm morality and honor.
WHAT DID KILIÇDAROĞLU SAY?
On the other hand, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's remarks in his first speech in front of cameras after the decision, where he said, "The CHP is a deep-rooted party, a party that founded the state, a party that guides the state. The CHP must protect its moral values and moral superiority. I promise all my citizens, especially the party members, in your presence; we will restore the CHP to its founding codes, it will have moral values," have sparked debate in the public eye.
