Flash resignation rumors regarding İYİ Party! 'In the coming days...'

The İYİ Party, which was established on October 25, 2017, by breaking away from the MHP under the leadership of Meral Akşener, Koray Aydın, and Ümit Özdağ, featured figures from various political spectrums in its initial ranks.

In the İYİ Party, which included figures with backgrounds in the DYP, ANAP, and DSP, approximately 110 of the 200 founders who stood alongside Akşener are no longer in the party.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, it was also claimed that news of resignations from the founders would continue in the coming days.

MAJOR DECLINE IN LOCAL ELECTIONS

The İYİ Party, which decided to enter the local elections 'free and independent,' did not achieve the result it expected on March 31.

The İYİ Party, which fell to the position of the sixth party nationwide by receiving 3.77 percent of the vote, had received 9.9 percent of the vote in the May elections.

Following the local elections, the İYİ Party went to an extraordinary congress, and Meral Akşener stepped down from her position as general chair. At the 5th Extraordinary Congress of the İYİ Party, Müsavat Dervişoğlu, Koray Aydın, Mehmet Tolga Akalın, and Günay Kodaz competed for the general chairmanship.

Dervişoğlu, known for his closeness to Akşener, was elected general chair at the 5th Extraordinary Congress of the İYİ Party.
