Foreign Ministry: Israel must withdraw immediately

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli made statements regarding the latest developments in world politics.

In a post shared on his X social media account, Keçeli stated the following:

We welcome the acceptance by the Palestinian side of the latest proposal regarding the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza and the mutual release of hostages and detainees. While such a positive development has occurred towards ending the destruction and massacre in Gaza, Israel's intensification of its attacks on Rafah has once again shown that the Netanyahu government is not acting in good faith. An operation to be carried out in Rafah will affect not only the region but the entire world.

"ISRAEL MUST IMMEDIATELY WITHDRAW FROM THE GAZA SIDE OF THE RAFAH BORDER CROSSING"

It is essential that Israel immediately withdraw from the Gaza side of the Rafah Border Crossing, which it has occupied. The status quo at Rafah and the border crossing must be restored immediately."
