The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's remarks aimed at manipulating public opinion.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a written statement addressing the allegations made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The statement issued by the Ministry included the following:

"Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu continues his lies aimed at manipulating public opinion in order to cover up the crimes he has committed in Gaza and to prevent ceasefire negotiations from reaching a conclusion. Netanyahu's recent allegations against the Arab Republic of Egypt, intended to maintain the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor, are unacceptable. We support the mediation efforts that the Arab Republic of Egypt continues to pursue in order to end the war in Gaza and to extend a helping hand to our millions of Palestinian brothers and sisters."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had implied that Hamas's rearmament was taking place via the Egyptian border as a justification for his insistence on keeping Israeli soldiers in the Philadelphi Corridor, located between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.

During a Cabinet meeting, Netanyahu stated, "We will not withdraw from the Philadelphi Corridor, neither after 42 days nor after 42 years."
