Former CHP deputy visits Kılıçdaroğlu: 'A very important duty falls to him'

Former CHP Ankara Deputy Yılmaz Ateş met at his residence with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was 'brought' to the CHP chairmanship by a decision of absolute nullity. Ateş made statements to members of the press in front of the residence after the meeting.

"THE REPUBLICAN PEOPLE'S PARTY IS GOING THROUGH A TROUBLED PROCESS"

Suggesting that an important duty falls to Kılıçdaroğlu, Yılmaz Ateş said the following:

"The Republican People's Party, which is currently the main opposition party in parliament, is going through a troubled process. Even though I am outside the party, my heart could not accept the Republican People's Party dealing with its own internal problems at a time when it should be offering solutions to Turkey's problems. For that reason, I expressed that a very important duty falls to Kılıçdaroğlu in the coming period.

Until yesterday, this duty was with Özgür Özel. A great duty fell to Özgür Özel regarding the protection of the party's unity and integrity; now this duty has passed to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Therefore, I shared these concerns and thoughts of mine with the former chairman. I hope and wish that the Republican People's Party will rid itself of its internal problems as soon as possible and focus on Turkey's general problems."
