Former Intelligence Chief Uzun to Bahçeli: Who is the party member who had Sinan Ateş killed in the middle of the capital?

Former Police Intelligence Department Head Sabri Uzun reacted to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who targeted Constitutional Court (AYM) President Zühtü Arslan during his party's group meeting yesterday, saying, "Do not mess with the Turkish State; if you have the courage, go to Qandil."

"ARE YOU NOT THE ONES WHO TURNED ANKARA INTO 'QANDIL'?"

Recalling the armed attack in which former Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) President Sinan Ateş was killed in Ankara last year, Sabri Uzun said on his social media account, "Who is the party member who had our brother Sinan Ateş killed in the middle of the capital, as he was leaving Friday prayers? Are you not the ones who turned Ankara into 'Qandil'?"

WHAT HAPPENED?

Targeting the Constitutional Court and its President at the MHP group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) yesterday, Devlet Bahçeli had said,

"The President of the Constitutional Court is the diseased arm of the Alliance of Humiliation nested in the high judiciary. We reject this. We believe this person has clearly overstepped his bounds and limits. Do not mess with the Turkish State; if you have the courage, go to Qandil. The Court President has lost his objectivity and impartiality and has taken a stance against Turkey's new administrative system, national unity, and brotherhood."
